40 days of prayer for revival

the prayer topics for the last two days, Feb 21 & 22, 2010 have a simple yet extremely important theme to the life of the body. the word of
God calls upon each member of the body to put away certain things: bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, slander and malice. Then God commands that we be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving and loving.

As we look to experience God more fully through revival, the greatest hinderance I beleive is the little inside attacks. Certainly a church who becomes serious about prayer, seeking God and shining the light of Jesus in their community will come under the attack of the devil. But far too often, we hinder revival and this great expereince with God ourselves.

Each of us needs to examine every relationship in our life and look and see if it is categorized by anger and bitterness or love and forgiveness. It is a humbling thing to love and forgive especially if you feel like you are right and someone else is wrong. Yet, humbling ourselves is the first step of truly expereincing God.

We must ask oursleves, would I rather hand on to my anger, bitterness and unforgiveness, or would I rather experience a greater love of God in my life? The response would seem obvious but for many it is not

Join me in praying fervently this week for our body that God would protect our relationships in love and our unity may not be broken
